About Me
Hi! My name is Max Meyers, and I am a filmmaker, photographer, and overall film enthusiast. I graduated summa cum laude the College of Charleston, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with minors in Film Studies and Marketing, also completing the requirements for the Honors College. I am a passionate film enthusiast seeking roles and experiences in film production, distribution, festivals, analysis, and related business operations.
Through my experience at the College as the President of the College of Charleston Film Club and Unit Production Manager of CisternYard Video, I’ve worked on a variety of short film and video productions, taking up roles in videography, editing, and overall management of productions. Outside of that, I have taken photographs for various organizations at the College of Charleston and elsewhere.
My ultimate career goal is to learn and immerse myself in the world of film and its visual storytellers, with the hope that my work makes a positive and meaningful impact in the film industry and ultimately the world.
Outside of work, I watch movies all the time. To date, I have watched more than 1,400 movies and counting, and I regularly review films on Letterboxd not only to build my skills and analyses as an amateur film critic, but also to share my love of this art form with others.
Beyond that, I love playing tennis, ultimate frisbee, and love to play the piano when I can. Some of my favorite music artists are The Strokes and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and I’m an avid Blu-ray collector (forever growing).
