Hi! My name is Max Meyers, and I am a passionate film enthusiast seeking a career in the film industry. I am seeking roles and experiences in film producing, festivals, distribution, exhibition, analysis, and overall film production + related business operations. My goal is to learn and immerse myself in the world of film and its visual storytellers, with the hope that my work makes a positive and meaningful impact in the world.

I graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with minors in Film Studies and Marketing (also completing the requirements for the Honors College).

I’ve had various work/internship experiences in the industry, from film festivals and programming to film distribution and producing. I’ve also worked on a variety of short film and video productions, taking up roles in videography, editing, and overall management of productions. I’ve also done various photography/videography for organizations/individuals.

Outside of work, I watch movies all the time. To date, I have watched more than 1,400 movies and counting, and I regularly review films on Letterboxd not only to build my skills and analyses as an amateur film critic, but also to share my love of this art form with others.

Beyond that, I love playing tennis, ultimate frisbee, and love to play the piano when I can. Some of my favorite music artists are The Strokes and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and I’m an avid Blu-ray collector (forever growing). Some (but certainly not all) of my favorite movies are: Before Sunrise (and the entire Before trilogy), The Red Shoes, Blow Out, Wings of Desire, Her, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Do the Right Thing, Challengers, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
